Your Complete Guide to Loch Lomond Weddings
Congratulations! If you are considering getting married on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond then you really couldn’t have picked a more picturesque part of the UK. Just 20 minutes travel from Glasgow Airport puts you and your entire wedding party on the shores of Loch Lomond. A stunning part of the world, it’s been my privilege to photograph weddings here my entire career.

Loch Lomond Wedding Venues
I dont need to tell you how beautiful Loch Lomond is, if you’re reading this, you already know.
But you might not know how different each wedding venue around the loch can be.
Some offer lochside views and rustic charm. Others feel like miniature castles or grand hotels. You’ll find options to suit big celebrations, intimate gatherings, and everything in between — all set against one of the most spectacular backdrops in Scotland.
Below are a few of the venues I know well. I’ve included some personal notes and links to pages where you can see real weddings, tips, and FAQs for each one.
If you’re looking at The Cruin in particular, I’ve written a short behind-the-scenes piece on how the day tends to run there — from arrival through to the evening. It’s a wee bit different from the usual venue roundup.

The Cruin
Private lochside ceremonies, dramatic views, and a warm, informal atmosphere. A great space if you want a relaxed vibe with serious scenery. Find out What a wedding at The Cruin actually runs like from a photographers view.

Loch Lomond Arms
A calm, elegant venue in the heart of Luss.
Part Scottish hunting lodge, part romantic highland getaway. One of my favourites to work at and you can read why here Inside a Loch Lomond Arms Wedding

CAMERON HOUSE
Cameron House is Loch Lomond’s only 5-star venue.
The dedicated wedding wing, beautifully refurbished rooms, and unbeatable service have made it worth the wait. I’ve loved photographing weddings here again — from the elegant interiors to the classic spots along the loch that never change.
The Scottish landscape remains as breathtaking as ever, making Cameron House a perfect blend of luxury and timeless scenery.

ALTSKEITH HOUSE
Technically not Loch Lomond, Loch Ard but in the ballpark and well worth considering. Surrounded by wonderful scenery and sitting on the shore of Loch Ard, right in the heart of the Trossachs. This lovely intimate country house offers an idyllic spot indoor and (at its best) outdoors.

Boturich Castle Weddings
The best view of Loch Lomond? Possibly. Undeniable luxury, views and the very best Scotland has to offer in terms of scenery and hospitality. Boturich Castle keeps the landscape front and centre whatever the weather’s doing, and the layout means you can get those big, cinematic portraits without turning the day into a photoshoot. Ideal if you want your wedding to feel relaxed, but still look unmistakably Loch Lomond.
ROSS PRIORY
A hidden gem and the only venue listed which sits on the east side of the Loch (wedding photographers top tip: this means you get a view of the sunset) Set looking up towards the Scottish highland and owned by Strathclyde Uni this highly versatile venue has its own stunning gardens, Loch view and walled garden which makes it a photographers dream venue. Regardless of when you are getting married – you should add this venue to your shortlist, especially for loch lomond weddings.

Your Complete Guide to the Best Loch Lomond Wedding Suppliers

Putting together your wedding timeline can feel like a lot. Advice from friends and family who’ve done it before is gold, recommendations are usually the best way to find people you can trust. But if you’re starting with a blank canvas, this list will help.

He somehow crafts your wedding movie in such a way that it feels epic, yet deeply personal at the same time. I don’t know how he does it – I just know that it’s great to work alongside him on the day.

Her timekeeping is superb, and she works brilliantly with your venue and suppliers, which makes the whole morning calmer. It’s amazing how much more enjoyable everything feels when prep runs to time.
DRESSING THE ROOM – ALL DRESSED UP
I actually went to school with Victoria, so I’ve known her a little longer than either of us would care to admit. With All Dressed Up Victoria ‘tunes into’ your taste, whether you are looking for a simple elegant design or over the top decadence. From rustic chic wilderness to (Victoria’s expression) “in your face full on magpie bling” You should talk to All Dressed Up. No two rooms ever look the same and with her high standards and attention to detail, she will make sure that your plans are executed seamlessly.

FLORIST – HELENSBURGH FLOWERS
Denise was born in Dublin (you may detect a slight accent) and she was introduced to floristry by her grandmother Anastasia who had her own flower shop in Dublin city (check the picture) Learning her craft straight from school she started training with a large chain of flower shops, working her way through the ranks from a very junior level to eventually managing her own shop. Consistently winning awards for her creations and customer service, I cannot recommend Denise and the team at Helensburgh Flowers highly enough.
