I loved everything about Nicola and Gareths House for an Art Lover wedding. I wanted the lowdown on what made this wedding sto stylish and photogenic (aside from the couple obviously). So we asked Nicola about her day in out latest in a series of quick Q&A posts to help you select the best suppliers for your wedding and put together a day as fantastic as this
How did you feel about your getting your picture taken?
Stuart made us feel so comfortable and at ease. He was so efficient and well organised that all the photos were taken in a surprisingly short space of time. His ability to find different and beautiful shots, no matter where you are, is so impressive. All our guests commented on how at ease and unobtrusive Stuart was when he was taking the photos.
And what is your verdict on the pictures?
LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Only downside, there are too many to choose from!
Any advice for future brides to be? What do you know now you wish you knew before the wedding?
The day goes by so fast! The best advice I got before the wedding was to take lots of opportunities to stop and appreciate the experience. It can be such a whirlwind that could easily pass you by without you getting to enjoy it.
What was the best bit about your day?
The ceremony – our Humanist Celebrant Alan Barr was incredible and really made it personal.
What were you most looking forward to about the day?
The dinner… no judgement – we knew how good the food at House for an Art Lover was!
And what (if anything) were you dreading?
Having to stay up until midnight!
Who was your wedding dress by and where did you get it?
Ronald Joyce dress from The Wedding Planner, Helensburgh
Who was your florist ?
Who was your hair / makeup artist?
Tara at Rainbow Rooms on Crow Road did my hair. The make-up was all me!
Where was your cake from?
Who was your band?
So much to love about this wedding. The couple themselves are two of the friendliest, nicest humble people you could ever hope to meet. Two lovely families and of course the stunning House for an Art Lover
