Shirley and Steves Loch Lomond wedding at Lodge on the Loch was just a beautiful day. We didnt see much of the outdoors on a very inclement day but it hardly mattered. All the warmth was inside with an amazing couple and a beautiful ceremony conducted by (friend of 1500) Claire Digance who married the couple ‘over a barrel’ created by the grooms own fair hand. We sat down with Shirley for a quick Q&A session on her wedding day.
Who was your wedding dress by and where did you get it?
It was from the Ella Rose collection by Kenneth Winston and it was from Catherine Paige bridal boutique in Dalston Cumbria
Who was your florist ?
Who was your hair by and your makeup artist?
Emma (make up) Megan (hair) from High Society Vanity rooms in Maryhill
Where was your cake from?
Who was your band?
And finally the grooms outfitter?
What was the best bit about your day?
Looking around and seeing all my friends and family smiling and happy was so emotional
What were you most looking forward to about the day?
Marrying Steven who is the best thing that has ever happened to me and bringing our 2 families together
And what (if anything) were you dreading?
Walking down the aisle and everyone staring I was dreading falling I’m known for being clumsy
How did you feel about your getting your pictures taken by 1500 Photography?
Nervous but Stuart put me at ease and after a couple I actually enjoyed it
And what is your verdict on the pictures?
Stunning cannot stop looking at them
Any advice for future brides to be? What do you know now you wish you knew before the wedding?
Everyone says it but I can’t believe how quick the day passes so enjoy every second and do take a wee 10 mins on your own with your new husband! Oh and make sure you book 1500 photography for your photos you won’t be disappointed
We love Shirley style and how open she is about her loves and fears for the big day. See more of our Loch Lomond Weddings here
