Rowallan Castle Wedding

Sandra and Marks Rowallan Castle wedding proved that weddings can be so simple yet elegant. Like the couple themselves the day was practical yet elegant, unfussy but beautiful and jam packed with personal touches (mostly from Sandra own fair hand) which put a stamp on the day that was undeniably “them”

Lets start with the roses and thistle. Mark is English (nobody’s perfect) and Scot Sandra wanted to pay tribute to the joining of two families and represented the 50/50 split by taking the national flower of both countries. This lovely display greeted the guests as they arrived at Rowallan Castle. Then there was the dress. One of the most beautiful dresses of the year and yet one of the simplest (links to all the suppliers are below) not to mention hair and make up provided by Sandras daughter Ally.  The girls bridesmaids outfits were off the peg from Zara and yet…. stunning.

You can already see how so much of the faff (and expense) has taken away from the preparations allowing for such a relaxed and chilled build up that the biggest headache Sandra had getting ready was whether to wear the belt supplied with her dress or not !

Mark also took all the stress out of the day and went for a simple yet beautiful suit and went for his sons as best men. I choice you think would have meant a kinder best mans speech.

However, since Mark forgot to mention how beautiful his wife looked in his speech and claimed that jagermeister had no effect on him, he did leave a few open goals for best man Ed.

Best bit – Being surrounded by the people we love in a stunning exclusive location.

Any Advice for brides to be – Relax, enjoy every minute and take a moment to take it all in.

A word on the photographer : Thank you again, you are both fabulous and made our day truly amazing!!
