Ingliston Wedding with Arleen and Craig
I thought I would present Arleen and Craig’s Ingliston wedding story in a slightly different fashion. I have a questionnaire that I had send out to Arleen after the wedding… but then i thought about how I would have answered the same questions. So what follows are the brides thoughts on the day, and the photographers (talk about self indulgent eh?)
Arleen first :
What was the best bit about your day? There was no single best part, the whole day was perfect from beginning to end! We couldn’t have wished for a better day!
Was there a worst bit? No, nothing
How did you feel about your getting your picture taken? We both really enjoyed it as 1500 photography made us feel so at ease & special & made us laugh throughout the day taking pictures!
And what is your verdict on the pictures? I can only describe our pictures in one word…. AMAZING!!
Any advice for future brides to be? What do you know now you wish you knew before the wedding?
The only advise I would give a future bride is don’t listen to everyone around you, do what you want to do & what would make you happy not others, it’s you & your partners big day & it’s what you both want also when the big day comes take a little moment to take everything on & everyone who has attended & make sure when it’s time for your band to play you dance the night away!
Stuart Wood is the photographer at 1500 Photography. Same questions answered by Arleen above.
What was the best bit about the day? The pipe band. Craig’s own pipe band marched into the wedding reception after the first dance and absolutely blow the roof off the venue. It was incredible and really got the whole place rocking. I felt really sorry for the band trying once the guys had finished. It was spine tingling !!
Was there a worst bit? Not a ‘worst bit’ but…. Only on a few occasions every year we have truly hot days. Typical of a photographer to be complaining about the weather being ‘too good’, but the guys in kilts were melting. It was glorious but wow, was it warm
How did you feel about taking the pictures on the day? I had met up with Arleen and Craig a few times before the wedding and had got to know them. They are absolutely my kind of people. Funny, friendly and so nice to be around. I had shot their friends wedding a few years ago and it was an honor that they came back to me again,
And what is your verdict on the pictures? I love them. Arleen and Craig were absolute hero’s and totally understood and bought into the process. My favorite shots are the ones we took after dinner against some red shutters. Everyone had relaxed, the sting had came out of the temperature and everyone was having a great time.
Any advice for future brides to be? Book me! But on a serious note take heed of Arleens advice “don’t listen to everyone around you, do what you want to do & what would make you happy not others, it’s you & your partners big day “
I couldn’t have put it better myself !
