1500 Photography

Amie and Ryan are another one of those couple who you ‘click’ with the minute you meet them.

I was delighted the shoot their wedding at Bothwell Castle despite the fact that we didnt have the weather on our side.

We started off at Amies folks house in Strathaven before making our way to the castle. There was very little let up in the rain but for a 20 minute spell from Amie arriving until the couple walked down the isle again.

A lucky break and no more than this top couple deserved. We managed to get quite a few shots under cover of umbrella and sheltered by castle wall before we had to concede defeat and head back to the Strathaven Hote. Once there we shot the rest of our groups and one or two of those ‘special’ 1500 shots which lead us to design a perfect album for Ryan and Amie.

As a footnote our spooky Strahaven baby story continues with Amie and Ryan coming home from  honeymoon with a baby on the way. That makes 3 out of 3 ……… There must be something in the water down there!!

We were back down at the Strathaven Hotel again recently – and what a change in the weather only 2 months later !!. Paul and Louise suffered torrential rain which didn’t let up all day, where as Ian and Lisa had an absolutely stunning day.

This time we started off with a few shots a Lisa’s mum’s house before onto Drumclog Church for the wedding ceremony. A really nice church set in the rolling hills just outside Strathaven. After releasing some doves after the ceremony (a first for me) we relaxed at the Strathaven Hotel before running through a few group shots.

The excellent idea that Ian and Lisa had, was to build lots of spare time into their day. Meaning that they could afford spend time mingling with friends and enjoy the sunshine between mini photo shoots. The results, of course were stunning as a really relaxed couple enjoyed the sun, champagne and company of their friends – an ideal summer wedding. The results speak for themselves

My sincere thanks and best wishes to Paul and Louise. The first wedding of the year for 1500 Photography. With the entire ceremony taking place at the Strathaven Hotel on a typically windy and rainy Scottish spring day, we had to put our creative thinking caps on.

This couple were absolutely fantastic to work with and I wish them every happiness for their future.
