Glenskirlie Wedding – Heather and Jonathan

I’ve already posted a picture from Heather and Jonnys wedding at Glenskirlie and so far its been the most popular picture I have ever put up on our facebook page, Heathers dog – Vinnie !!

We got some absolutely cracking shots in Heathers apartment before we got to Glenskirlie. What an amazing differecne it makes to your day when the bride is ready on time and has allowed 15 minutes for pictures before she leaves. Heather looked absolutely beautiful and was accompanied on the road to Glenskirlie by two beautiful bridesmaids and her Gran Ena who is such a character and a great laugh!

After a lovely humanist ceremony we took Heather and Jonny up to their honeymoon suite for pictures. Although not the suite Heather was hoping for we still managed to get some lovely shots in the darker room before using the lift and staircase for some striking pictures.  Heather and Jonny are such a lovely couple and Heather was an absolutely stunning bride. The day was a day full of sparkle brilliantly planned by Heather who with Supernova events had organised one of the most amazing room set ups Ive ever seen at Glenskirlie.

Congratulations to you both !!

Glenskirlie Wedding Photography – Mairi & Gavin

For Mairi and Gavins wedding we were back to Glenskirlie House hotel.

We started the day at Mairi parents house in Balloch as she was putting her finishing touches together. A calmer bride I cannot remember meeting before a wedding, totally chilled and carefree. Gavin on the other hand………

Gavin had also unfortunately walked into the open boot of his car a few days before the wedding and a little more photoshop cosmetic work was required with this groom. Still all’s well that ends well.

With a really friendly family and a brilliant couple to work with this was a great wedding to shoot.

More from Lee-Ann and Kierans Wedding

I haven’t really covered Lee-Ann and Kierans wedding in the blog as it took place towards the end of the year. We started off at Our Lady of Lourdes we then travelled up to Glenskirlie Castle for the reception. When we got to Glenskirlie the light began to fade fast but as we took a couple of shots on the ‘love seat’ at the back of the gardens Gillian spotted the dramatic skyline where the sun had just set. The slope up the little hill side was soft and muddy but Lee-Ann was very keen to get this shot. So we managed to negotiate a path for Lee-Ann and Kieran to make their way and as you can see from the result below we were rewarded with a stunning image (our shot of the year)

Since you have already seen some of the best images from the wedding I thought I would post a couple of ‘different’ shots that I really like. Shot 1 I love how the little boy is rocking back on his heels at being introduced to the flower girl, shot 2 was leaving the church after a quick photo session on the alter and the geusts bus had just pulled away and shots no3 and 4 were taken about 1 second apart – its just to let you see the guest ‘paparazzi’

You will see more of Lee-Ann and Kierans wedding soon as I have taken a shot from their wedding to be used as our advert in the Real Life Weddings magazine. Its a bit different so watch this space for an update.
