Prizes !!

So you might have seen a very similar shot to this recently (here)

Lee-Ann and Kieran not only scooped the 1500 Photography – Wedding Shot of the Year 2008, but also have now picked up a digital camera courtesy of Kodak.

Their shot, taken at Glenskirlie Castle in October last year, is one of the shots we have in this years “Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year”. By getting their images into the final 10 shots, Lee-Ann and Kieran and Jason and Loretta will receive a Kodak digital camera and the chance of winning £1000 should their image go all the way.

Advertising for 2009 ?

This was sent to me by Paul who reckons one of these ‘dudes’ bears an uncanny resemblance to yours truly. I cant make up my mind if this is a compliment or an insult……..

And the winner is……

Lee-Ann & Kieran

163

Lee -Ann and Kieran’s silhouette shot at Glenskirlie Castle took first place with 43% of the vote

second was Dan and Natalie with 27%

303
and in third Lee Ann again with 16%

181

Honourable mentions go to Paul & Nicola and Donna & Thomas who tied for 4th

Well done to the Lee Ann and Kieran who will not only receive a small gift in recognition of becoming the inaugural winners of 1500 Photography Wedding Shot of the Year.

They will also become the new front page image to our website. Thank you to everyone who voted. I have been overwhelmed at the response, I had no idea my wee poll would create such interest. In the end 292 votes were cast. When you consider that the voting system counted each ISP address and stopped multiple votes from the same computer it just goes to show how much interest there was.

I’d also like to make another big thank you to all my brides and grooms of 2008. This business wouldn’t have been here without you guys, I am extremely grateful to you all – including those who didn’t feature in the poll. You have really helped get the business off to a flyer and I wont ever forget you or your weddings.

Thank you all – Stuart

David and Alix ~ (repost)

The origonal post here disappeared, mysteriously…… so  here it is again.

We had a great day with Alix and Dave at the Barony Hall in Glasgow. After catching both parties getting ready at the Millenium Hotel, it was on to the stunning setting of the Barony. Alix looked absolutely beautiful, the hall looked amazing and David looked great in his morning suit (a very refreshing change for a Scottish groom)

There was a real connection the day, and I think it shows in the pictures. I am hughly grateful to Dave and Alix, not only for choosing me, but for all the effort they put into getting the pictures and their enthusiasm for the photography too. Thank you both.

*UPDATE* Every year I advertise in the Real Life Weddings magazine.I make up about 4/5 dummy adverts then show them to prospective bride and grooms, take votes and print the favourite. Dave and Alix’s advert was by far the favourite from this years selection.

I always knew Alix would be a stunning bride, but who knew Dave would be model material too !!

Josephine and John at St Andrews in the Square

Josephine and John recently had their wedding at St Andrews in the Square. A cracking venue for a cracking couple. These guys were amongst the first couples to book 1500 Photography and we hit it off right from the get go. I have never laughed so much at a pre wedding meeting than with these two and the laughter carried through onto the day and into the pictures.

Im really proud of the pictures that John and Josephine helped me achieve. As you can see we stayed on a little later and got an brilliant shot of St Andrews in the Square floodlit (eventually ! – the sun refused to go down !!!) Thank you both for being such good sports.
