Wedding Photography at Piersland House, Troon. Colin & Gemma

I have been looking forward to shooting a wedding down in Troon for ages and I finally got my wish with Colin and Gemma’s wedding at Piersland House.

We started the day at Gemma’s parents house to get the ‘finishing touches’ shots before heading to Portland parish church for the ceremony. On leaving the house, teacher Gemma was delighted to see lots of her pupils had come out to wave her off and wish her luck, it was the first of many lovely touches throughout the day.

After the ceremony the church officer got everyone a drink of water during the siging of the register and when I jokingly asked for a coffee he came back seconds later with a steaming mug – black, two sugars – Brilliant !

We then headed onto the beach before making our way back to Piersland, which looks fantastic after its refrub. It was  such a superb day and the brilliant weather and 1st class hotel meant that we came away with some really cool shots. Colin and Gemma were great fun on the day and after planning a Troon wedding for years I wasnt disappointed to finally get onto the sand. A top day. Troon beach wedding by 1500 Photography

Wedding at the Glasshouse, Edinburgh – Rachel & Mark

We were delighted to shoot a wedding at the Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh with Rachel and Mark.

This was our first trip to this stunning hotel right in the very centre of the city.

We got some terrific shots of Rachel & Mark on the lovely rooftop garden, in the low winter sun. Rachel looked absolutely stunning and her getting ready pictures are just beautiful. Mark also cut a dash in his suit, which I have to confess, I think I prefer photographing over a kilt.

Sacrilege for a Scotsman perhaps but it least it gives the guys something to do with their hands !!

With the couples 3 young kids  and so many friends and family from all over the world there was a really close family feel to the wedding. I am grateful to Rachel & Mark and their family for all their patience and co-operation on the day.

Thank you
